Prayer MythBusters

MYTH: When you go to the prayer area for prayer, you must share your deepest darkest secrets.
BUSTED: God knows the details. Our prayer warriors do not need any details that you are uncomfortable sharing. Our prayer team is discrete and gifted, and has a passion to care for you and intercede on your behalf through prayer.

MYTH:You should pray all the time.
PLAUSIBLE: The Bible says we should “never stop praying” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Does that mean you have to quit your full-time job and pray all day? Not exactly. However, you can offer what I like to call “express lane prayers” to God at any time, in any situation, throughout your day.

MYTH:You should only ask for prayer about the BIG things going on in your life.
BUSTED:Matthew 10:30 tells us that “the very hairs on your head are all numbered.” God wants to hear every concern you have – both big and small. There is nothing that He doesn’t want to hear.

If you have a passion for praying for others and would like to understand how you can put your gifts to use within our faith family, please contact Becky Dulin.
